This workshop explores student perceptions and engagement with literacy through various genres of popular culture. A student’s perceptions of text can be altered by use of literary techniques such as sensory impressions and inter-textual associations. Children/adolescent literature, movies, redesign and remix texts will be discussed in this workshop.
