In this workshop, we will invite the audience to consider what it means to teach in multilingual and multicultural schools. We will demonstrate an approach that pre-service teachers use to connect reading and writing in teaching English Language Learners. Participants of the workshop will be engaged in a series of activities including reading aloud of a dual language book, writing responses, and reading aloud from writings.
