Service-learning – participating in meaningful service that is directly connected to student learning – enhances students’ academic experiences and connects their learning to real community needs. In this presentation, we will share our experiences as organizers and participants in this work, and highlight how teachers and teacher educators can use service-learning to enhance their practice.
