With hundreds of refugee students in Alberta schools, many of them coming from traumatic backgrounds, it becomes increasingly important for teachers to understand both the challenges of teaching refugees, and the techniques to do so effectively. This workshop will provide theory and practical techniques to engage with this diverse and vulnerable group.
